Europahalle, Indoor sports arena in Karlsruhe, Germany

Europahalle is an indoor arena on Hermann-Veit-Straße in Karlsruhe. Its main hall covers 2,200 m² across four hall sections and holds a 200 m tartan track, a strength room and a 27 m × 15 m warm-up hall. The roof is carried by just two steel cables. Since reopening in 2024, capacity is capped at 4,800.

Europahalle hosted EuroBasket in 1985 and 1993, Davis Cup tennis in 1989, 1995 and 2002, and was a venue of the 1989 World Games in Karlsruhe. A fire-protection report closed it to events over 200 people from June 2014; after renovation costing 30 million euros, it reopened in October 2024 with a 4,800-visitor limit.

The hall's name reflects its role as a venue for international sport: it hosted EuroBasket in 1985 and 1993, EuroBasket Women in 1998, Davis Cup tennis in 1989, 1995 and 2002, and the 1989 World Games. Its athletics meetings produced world records, including Heike Henkel's 2.07 m high jump in 1992.

The venue is located at Hermann-Veit-Straße 7 with several entry points for easy access. Good connections to public transportation make it simple to reach, and parking is available nearby.

The roof of the Europahalle is carried by just two steel cables, a structural feature visitors can see from inside the hall. The arena hosted the 1989 World Games athletics events, and in 1992 Heike Henkel cleared 2.07 m in the high jump here at the German Indoor Championships; the mark stood as an indoor record for fourteen years.
