Russian church

The Russian Church is a house of worship with eclectic design located in the northwestern part of Stuttgart. The building displays Eastern Orthodox features with a brick facade, characteristic onion domes, and religious symbols that define its exterior.

The foundation stone was laid in 1895 after Tsar Alexander III approved the construction. Architect Ludwig Eisenlor designed this landmark, which reflected the German-Russian relations of that era.

The church keeps Eastern Orthodox traditions alive and serves as a gathering place for the Russian community in Stuttgart. It represents a cultural presence that has grown in the city over many decades.
