Alter Elbpark, Historical park in Neustadt and St. Pauli, Hamburg, Germany.
The four-hectare green space connects the northern area of Planten un Blomen with Stintfang hill, featuring numerous pathways across sloping terrain toward the Elbe river.
The park grounds were previously part of the Hamburg city fortifications, containing the Casparus Bastion, until their transformation between 1820 and 1837 under landscape gardener Isaak Altmann.
The Bismarck Monument, inaugurated in 1906, stands 15 meters tall and includes figures of Germanic tribes at its base, representing the largest statue of Otto von Bismarck worldwide.
Visitors can access the park via U3 line at Sankt Pauli station or S1, S2, and S3 trains at Landungsbrücken, with a playground located in the northwestern section.
The park contains several century-old trees, including oaks, chestnuts, planes, and rare specimens such as an Aleppo pine and Japanese cherry trees from the 1950s.
