Ahnepark

The Ahnepark spans over 90,000 square meters, featuring a central lake, sports courts, and extensive networks of walking paths through varied terrain and landscapes.

The park officially opened its doors to the public on June 21, 1986, establishing itself as a central recreational space in the Vellmar community.

Sculptures created during international art symposiums line the Märchenlandweg path, providing visitors with an outdoor gallery experience throughout the grounds.

The park includes seven entry points, restroom facilities, a restaurant, parking areas, and various recreational installations including table tennis and basketball courts.

A miniature steam railway operates during summer months, managed by the Vellmar Steam Railway Club, offering rides through the park grounds.
