Stadthalle Kassel

Stadthalle Kassel is a multi-purpose event building with several halls and rooms designed for various occasions. The main structure provides space for concerts, exhibitions, conferences, and trade fairs in different configurations.

The building was constructed between 1911 and 1914 as a gift to the city by textile entrepreneur Sigmund Aschroth. Architects Ernst Rothe and Max Hummel created a neoclassical structure that reflected Kassel's importance in the early 20th century.

The hall serves as the home venue for the Kassel State Orchestra, which presents regular symphonic performances. Visitors experience a wide range of events throughout the year that shape the cultural life of the city.

The hall is conveniently located and easy to reach from the city center. Multiple entrances provide flexible access depending on the type of event or gathering.

The building stands on the grounds of a former botanical garden and is surrounded by public gardens including a rose garden. This green setting creates a peaceful setting despite being in the middle of the city.
