PSD Bank Nürnberg ARENA, multi-purpose hall
The PSD Bank Nürnberg Arena is a multipurpose hall next to the Max-Morlock-Stadion, designed by the Glöckner architectural firm. Inside, a tiered seating bowl surrounds an open floor beneath a ceiling of pale wooden beams and grey metal trusses, with large round ventilation ducts and suspended lighting rigs. The hall holds three ice rinks or 1,900 m² of event space, seating up to 10,200.
The arena stands directly next to the Max-Morlock-Stadion, so allow extra time on matchdays and during Rock im Park, when the hall serves as an additional stage. Three ice rinks or 1,900 m² of event floor can be set up; during the ice season the ice sports centre opens its surfaces to the public.
