Creuzburg

Creuzburg is an administrative district in Thuringia that stretches along the Werra River and consists of residential areas and industrial zones. The place lies in the Wartburgkreis and combines historically developed urban structures with modern functional areas.

The settlement received city rights in 1213, which led to its fortification and the creation of a coat of arms. This founding marked the transition from a simple settlement to a protected trading town with its own administration.
