Stolzenfels Castle, Gothic Revival castle in Koblenz, Germany.

The ochre-colored Stolzenfels Castle rises on the left bank of the Rhine River, featuring flat roofs, pergolas, and multiple terraces at different levels.

Archbishop Arnold von Isenburg constructed the original fortress in 1259 as a toll collection point until French forces destroyed it in 1689.

The Small Knights Hall contains frescos depicting German empire history while the Large Knights Hall demonstrates nineteenth-century residential architecture and design.

Regular bus services connect Koblenz city center to the castle entrance, where visitors follow a winding path up to the main entrance.

The castle gardens, designed by Peter Joseph Lenné, incorporate natural grottos and waterfalls into structured landscape arrangements along the hillside.
