Schloss Karlsburg, Baroque manor house in Karlsburg, Germany.

The three-story brick structure features a central building with advanced wings and a mansard roof, displaying classical architectural elements throughout its design.

Built in 1731, the castle belonged to the von Bismarck-Bohlen family until 1945, when it transformed into a state clinic for diabetic patients.

The castle grounds include a garden that evolved from French style in the 1750s to an English landscape design by Peter Joseph Lenné in the 19th century.

The castle, now owned by the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, houses research institutes of the University of Greifswald.

The castle received its name after King Gustav III of Sweden's visit in 1771, when the von Bohlen family named it in his honor.
