Blender, Mountain summit in Oberallgäu, Germany

Blender is a 1072.3 m high subpeak of the Dürrer Bühl in the Kürnacher Wald, part of the Adelegg, on the boundary of Buchenberg and Wiggensbach in Bavaria's Oberallgäu district. Though the nearby Dürrer Bühl is slightly higher, the Blender is the more prominent landmark, topped by a 115 m telecommunications tower on its Rauhenstein spur.

The Blender lies on the boundary between the municipalities of Buchenberg and Wiggensbach in the Oberallgäu. On its southwestern spur, the Rauhenstein, the Deutsche Bundespost built the 115-metre Fernmeldeturm Blender in 1982/83, replacing a lower steel lattice mast; it went into service in October 1984. Since then the tower has broadcast the Kempten regional station RSA-Radio on 97.6 MHz and also carries directional and mobile radio links.

The mountain gives its name to the Haus am Blender, a social-psychiatric facility for chronically ill adults on its southeastern slope in the Buchenberg hamlet of Eschachberg. Filmmaker Susann Reck, who spent much of her childhood in the area, made the 2015 documentary "Blender" about it.

Several waymarked trails and farm tracks lead over the Blender, which can be walked or cycled; from the centre of Wiggensbach the climb to the summit takes about one and a half hours and is also manageable for children. A fitness trail (Trimm-dich-Pfad) starts at the foot of the mountain on the Wiggensbach side. The Voralpenmarathon crosses the Blender, where its hardest climb and highest point lie.

The 115-metre Fernmeldeturm Blender stands on the Rauhenstein, the mountain's southwestern spur, at 1,057 metres. Built by the Deutsche Bundespost in 1982/83 as a replacement for a lower steel lattice mast, it went into service in October 1984 and broadcasts RSA-Radio on 97.6 MHz. The tower makes the mountain visible from afar in every direction.
