Palais Quartier is a complex on Große Eschenheimer Straße with four parts: a smaller copy of the late-Baroque Palais Thurn und Taxis, the 136-metre Nextower office tower, the 96-metre hotel tower (Jumeirah until 2022, now JW Marriott), and the MyZeil shopping centre. The palace is a reinforced-concrete structure with a steel-strut roof, its gatehouse sandstone ornaments reused; the Nextower has bent facades of matt aluminium and glass.

The site served for decades as Frankfurt's main post office; Deutsche Telekom sold the so-called Post-Areal to the Dutch investor MAB in February 2002 for 230 million euros. Demolition from 2004 removed the old post buildings and the 69-metre Fernmeldehochhaus of 1956, one of the city's first high-rises. The foundation stone was laid in September 2005, MyZeil opened on 26 February 2009, and the palace copy and both towers were occupied in 2011.

The complex takes its name from the Palais Thurn und Taxis, a late-Baroque palace built from 1793 and destroyed in the 1944 air raids. The rebuilt palace is a smaller copy, not a faithful reconstruction; sandstone ornaments from the demolished gatehouses were reused. Its ground floor now holds shops and restaurants, offices occupy the upper floors, and a hall for about 1,000 people sits in the basement.

The complex sits between the Zeil and the Eschenheimer Turm, with MyZeil forming the pedestrian link from Thurn-und-Taxis-Platz to the Zeil. Beneath the 1.7-hectare site lies Frankfurt's largest inner-city car park, with 1,396 spaces. The Nextower's fourth floor opens directly into MyZeil, and its two roof terraces at 90 metres are not open to the public.

The Palais Thurn und Taxis is not a faithful reconstruction but a smaller copy of the late Baroque palace destroyed in 1944. The surviving gatehouses were demolished, yet their sandstone ornaments were reused in the new building, which is a reinforced concrete structure with a steel-strut roof.
