Burgruine Rodenberg

Burgruine Rodenberg is a medieval fortress situated on a forested hilltop near Rotenburg an der Fulda. The remains include stonework, a polygonal keep foundation, and substantial ramparts that cover a considerable area of the hillside.

The fortress was built after 1122 by the Ludowinger dynasty as a strategic military stronghold. It was destroyed in 1372 during regional conflict, leaving the ruins that remain today.
