Kollegiatstift St. Cyriacus, Worms-Neuhausen, Medieval monastery complex in Worms-Neuhausen, Germany

The Collegiate Foundation of St. Cyriacus is a monastery complex in Worms-Neuhausen comprising a collegiate church, communal buildings, a chapter house, and library facilities. The site functioned as both a spiritual and administrative center for a community of canons.

A bishop brought relics of Saint Cyriacus from Rome to Worms in the 9th century, transforming the location into a regional pilgrimage site. The complex underwent later renovations that enhanced its standing as a major pilgrimage destination throughout the medieval period.

The collegiate church served as a pilgrimage destination where visitors came to venerate the sacred relics housed here. The site reflected its spiritual importance through the religious artworks and treasures that adorned its spaces.

The site can be viewed from the exterior, with remnants of the original complex still visible on the grounds. It is helpful to check access times before visiting, as not all areas may be open to visitors at all hours.

A prominent ruler from the German territories visited the renovated site in the late 15th century and received a fragment of the reliquary as a diplomatic gift. This gesture demonstrated the high regard the monastery held among European nobility.
