Freilichtbühne Nettelstedt is an outdoor theater in Lübbecke situated on the northern slope of the Wiehengebirge with views across the surrounding lowland landscape. The venue is designed for performances under open sky and hosts regular theatrical productions throughout the year.
Established in 1923, the venue is one of Germany's oldest amateur performance theaters. Since its founding, it has continuously maintained its role as a place for theatrical productions.
The venue presents two main productions each year: an evening show for adults and a dedicated performance for children and families. These stagings reflect traditions maintained by local amateur performers across many generations.
The theater is located at Hünenbrinkstraße 4 in Lübbecke and is accessible during warmer months for performances. Visitors should note that shows happen mainly in summer, with occasional winter productions taking place in January.
Since 2013, the venue has involved junior members who stage two original productions within their own dedicated program. This engagement provides young performers with hands-on artistic training and stage experience.
