Wurzelbrink, Mountain summit in Wiehengebirge, Germany
Wurzelbrink is a mountain summit in the Wiehengebirge range and reaches an elevation of 318 meters. The peak offers wide views across the surrounding lowland landscape from its top.
A watchtower was built on the summit in 1857 to monitor the surrounding territories. This structure continues to shape the appearance of the peak today.
Local residents regularly collect water from a natural spring on the western slope, which produces up to 10 liters per minute during spring season.
Several marked hiking trails lead to the summit and connect with other paths in the area for longer walks. Access is possible from different starting points and well signposted.
A natural spring on the western slope flows from groundwater with higher copper content but remains clean and drinkable. Some hikers still use this water that emerges from the ground today.
