Dikopshof

Dikopshof is a manor house with chapel in Wesseling, featuring a residential building from 1681 and an eastern chapel dedicated to the Holy Cross. The complex stands today as a protected monument and shapes the appearance of the Keldenich district with its historical structures.

The estate was first documented in 1213 and received its name from the Dykopf family, who managed the property during the 16th and 17th centuries. The baroque buildings developed later and established the place as an important estate in the region.

The University of Bonn operated research programs at Dikopshof, focusing on animal breeding, plant cultivation, and crop science until 2009.

The place is located in Keldenich and is reachable by public transport, though the walk from the nearest stop takes several minutes. When visiting, bring warm clothing since the grounds are exposed and subject to weather conditions.

The place is known as a filming location for several German television series, including productions from the crime drama Mord mit Aussicht. This popularity with film productions has helped make the estate known to audiences beyond the region.
