Großsteingrab Alt Reddevitz

Großsteingrab Alt Reddevitz is a megalithic tomb built from large stone slabs arranged in a burial chamber, situated on the island of Rügen near Göhren. The structure displays typical features of Neolithic stone monuments with roughly hewn blocks fitted together and still standing in their original configuration.

This megalithic tomb originates from the Neolithic period and reflects burial customs of early human societies in northern Germany. Constructing such monuments required considerable effort and demonstrates the advanced organizational capabilities of these ancient communities.
