Weserliedanlage, Monument and scenic viewpoint in Hann. Münden, Germany.
Weserliedanlage is a monument set on the Questenberg hillside, featuring two bronze portrait reliefs embedded in light-colored sandstone. The site honors two poets whose literary works have shaped the region's cultural landscape.
Construction of the monument began in 1914 but was interrupted by World War I and financial difficulties. It was finally completed in 1931 after these obstacles were overcome.
The bronze reliefs, created by sculptor Gustav Eberlein, incorporate laurel and oak leaf wreaths with roses to honor the Weserlied creators.
The easiest route starts from the town center, crossing Werrabrücke bridge and heading toward Questenbergweg, then turning onto Eichenweg after passing under the bridge. The site is easily accessible on foot and makes for a pleasant walk.
From this location you can see the exact spot where rivers Werra and Fulda meet and merge into the Weser. This geographical feature gives the site its natural importance.
