Wasserturm Kornwestheim, Railway water tower in Kornwestheim, Germany

The Wasserturm Kornwestheim is a 30-metre water tower built in 1914 for the Kornwestheim marshalling yard. Its spherical steel tank, 14.5 metres across and holding 1,100 cubic metres, was supplied by the Dortmund steel builder August Klönne and sits on a cylindrical shaft. A restaurant with a beer garden now occupies the tower, and the Westrandstraße runs between it and the former shunting tracks.

Built in 1914 by a steel company, it once supplied water to steam locomotives at the railway yard. Later it was converted into a dining and events establishment, giving the structure a new purpose for the community.
