The Kluterthöhle features 380 underground passages with lakes, displaying an extensive collection of fossilized marine organisms throughout its natural chambers and corridors.
Formed 385 million years ago from an ancient tropical sea, the cave system contains one of Europe's most complete coral reef formations from the Devonian period.
The cave hosts regular concerts and seasonal events, including December Nikolaus tours that incorporate local traditions into the underground exploration experience.
Tours operate daily from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with advance reservations required and adult admission prices ranging between 10 and 12 euros per person.
The cave environment provides natural therapy effects for respiratory conditions, making it a recognized climate therapy location since 1954.
