Erlebnispark Gevelsberg
Erlebnispark Gevelsberg is an indoor play facility in North Rhine-Westphalia spanning about 5000 square meters, divided into multiple halls with distinct play zones. It features slides, trampolines, climbing structures, bouncy castles, and a restaurant, with an outdoor water park added during summer months.
The park opened in 2005 on the grounds of the former Kruiner steel foundry in Gevelsberg and was designed specifically as a weather-independent play facility for families. Since 2014, the outdoor area was expanded with a water park featuring water play systems by Roigk, making summer visits more attractive.
The park's name reflects its location in Gevelsberg and its role as a space for family play and adventure. Visitors experience a culture centered on children playing freely while parents supervise nearby, with each age group finding dedicated areas suited to their needs.
The park offers free parking directly at the entrance with a short walk to the facilities, making arrival and departure convenient. The layout is organized on two levels and easy to navigate, allowing parents to supervise children effectively and access restrooms and rest areas quickly.
The park sits on the grounds of the former Kruiner steel foundry, transforming an industrial site into a modern play space for families. This repurposing shows how abandoned production facilities can find new life as spaces for recreation and play.
