Schloss Liebeneck, Manor house in Osterspai, Germany.

Schloss Liebeneck is a stately home in Osterspai featuring a distinctive round tower crowned by a steep hipped roof that dominates its form. The building sits above the village and is accompanied by auxiliary structures and the Grauborn spring on its grounds.

The current building succeeded an earlier structure from 1590 and underwent major reconstruction between 1873 and 1875 under architect Joseph Balthasar Fuchs. This significant renovation marked a turning point in the estate's architectural evolution.

The coat of arms displayed above the Romanesque portal reflects the union of two noble families whose influence shaped the estate over time. This heraldic symbol offers insight into the power structures that defined the property's ownership.

The castle is privately owned and closed to the public, though its exterior can be viewed from hiking trails that run along the Rhine near the village. The pathways offer good vantage points for observing the building's distinctive architecture from a distance.

The castle's name comes from the Grauborn spring located on its grounds, a natural water source that has flowed for centuries. This spring shaped the property's identity and once served as its water supply during the early occupation of the site.
