Villa Simon, Neo-Renaissance villa in Mitte, Germany

Villa Simon stands on Brühlstraße 27, featuring Neo-Renaissance design elements with a winter garden facing toward Königsworther Platz in Hannover.

Eduard Simon, a Jewish lawyer, commissioned the construction of this residence between 1858 and 1860, replacing his previous summer house with gardens.

The building now serves the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz University of Hannover, housing departments for research and technology transfer activities.

The structure maintains its original architectural features and includes an observation platform offering views of Herrenhäuser Allee and Herrenhausen Palace.

Joseph Berliner, founder of Deutsche Grammophon, purchased the villa in 1895 for 153,000 Reichsmarks and made it his residence.
