Kellersberger Mühle

Kellersberger Mühle is a grain mill in Alsdorf located along the Broicher Bach, producing flour and other grain products for the local market. The facility operates modern milling equipment to process various grains and runs a retail shop selling baking supplies, animal feed, and garden materials.

The mill originally ran on two water wheels but switched to turbine power in 1930, then to electric drive in 1960. This transition shows how the facility adapted over decades to new energy sources while staying in business.

The mill connects local grain farmers with bakers by processing cereals into flour and other products, keeping alive the region's traditional milling craft. Visitors can watch how grain becomes different types of flour within the facility.

The mill is open from Monday through Saturday and sells flour products along with baking supplies, animal feed, and garden items. Since it sits alongside the Broicher Bach and is easily accessible, visitors should check ahead about times for tours or visits to see the production area.

This facility remains the last operating mill in the entire Broichbachtal valley, preserving a form of production that has nearly disappeared from the area. Despite all the technical changes over the decades, it has never abandoned its core function of processing grain.
