Oberkirche St. Nikolai

Oberkirche St. Nikolai is a three-nave hall church built entirely from red brick with a 55-meter tower and stellar vaults decorating the ceiling. Its tall pointed-arch windows give the interior a sense of height and light.

The church was built in 1600, though the community became Protestant during the Reformation in 1537. After suffering severe damage in World War II, it was reconstructed and returned to service.

The church serves as a venue for music performances and exhibitions addressing peace and social topics. Visitors can regularly experience organ concerts and choir performances in its interior.
