Oberkirche St. Nikolai, Gothic church building in Cottbus, Germany.
The three-nave hall church features a 55-meter tower, stellar vaults, and high spire-topped windows constructed entirely from red bricks.
Dating from 1600, the church transformed from Catholic to Protestant during the Reformation in 1537, with subsequent reconstructions after World War II damage.
The church hosts regular organ concerts, choir performances, and exhibitions focusing on peace, justice, and environmental protection programs.
Located at Oberkirchplatz 12 in central Cottbus, the church welcomes visitors daily between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM with Sunday services at 10:00 AM.
The church tower stands asymmetrically positioned on the northern side of the building rather than along its central axis.
