Puschkinpromenade, Historic promenade in Cottbus, Germany
Puschkinpromenade extends along the northern section of the old town, connecting Zimmerstraße with Karl-Marx-Straße through landscaped paths and green spaces.
Between 1874 and 1878, the promenade underwent substantial development with the construction of ten villa buildings and three rental houses in the 1880s.
The street bears the name of Russian poet Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin and features bronze sculptures within the Ehrenhain memorial dedicated to World War II victims.
Recent renovations in November 2023 temporarily restricted access to the park paths, directing pedestrians to use alternative sidewalks during construction work.
In 1744, two thousand mulberry trees were planted along the walls, streets, and public squares, establishing the foundation for the current green corridor.
