Fleischhaus, Courthouse in Heilbronn, Germany
The Fleischhaus stands as a two-story building with arcades at ground level and a courtroom on the upper floor in central Heilbronn.
Built between 1598 and 1600, the structure initially served as a meat market hall on the ground floor and a courthouse with wedding venue above.
The building reflects late 16th-century Mannerist architecture with its distinctive arcade design and functional division between commerce and civic duties.
Located on Kramstrasse, the building maintains limited public access to its entrance area, displaying artifacts from its former functions.
From 1655 onwards, fire safety regulations required all weddings in Heilbronn to take place exclusively in this building.
