The Church of Fürstin-Franziska-Christine-Stiftung is a Baroque church from 1770 in Steele with three carefully designed altars. The altar figures were created by an artist from Münster and define the interior appearance.
The foundation was established in 1764 by a princess to care for orphaned children and provide education. The church was built shortly after as the spiritual and social heart of this institution.
The interior displays religious paintings from the 18th century featuring the Assumption of Mary and depictions of saints. These artworks shape how the space feels when you walk through it.
