Großer Bärenberg

Großer Bärenberg is a mountain summit rising to 601 meters in the Hesse region and defines the landscape around Zierenberg. A distinctive observation tower stands on the peak and serves as a landmark that helps orient visitors within the surrounding area.

The mountain has served as a geographic reference point since communities first settled in the Zierenberg area and maintained this importance over time. The construction of the observation tower on the peak came later and transformed the location into a popular destination for hikers.
