Schloss Escheberg, Medieval château in Zierenberg, Germany
The white plastered château features a symmetrical design with two wings extending from the main building and contains preserved medieval underground vaults.
Built initially as a manor house in the 16th century, the structure underwent modifications in 1740 to include administrative buildings and stables.
The third floor Poetenstube hosted literary gatherings where poet Emanuel Geibel wrote his famous song 'Der Mai ist gekommen'.
While the château remains a private residence of the von der Malsburg family, visitors can explore the English garden and adjacent golf course.
The château retains its original greenhouse from the late 18th century, complete with a central tea pavilion topped by a shallow dome.
