Schloss Escheberg

Schloss Escheberg is a manor house with a white plastered facade arranged in a symmetrical layout, with two wings extending from the central structure. The building contains original medieval underground vaults and continues to serve as a private residence today.

The manor house was first built in the 16th century as a residential and administrative center. Around 1740, major renovations expanded the structure with stables and additional utility buildings.

The Poetenstube on the third floor served as a gathering place for writers and poets who shared their work in this intimate setting. The room maintains this literary atmosphere, preserving the memory of intellectual exchange that once took place there.

The château remains a private residence and is not open for regular tours of the interior. Visitors can typically explore the surrounding English garden and nearby golf course, which provide access to the estate grounds.

The estate retains an original greenhouse dating to the late 18th century that once served the household. Inside stands a small tea pavilion with a distinctive shallow dome roof, adding an unexpected architectural detail to the grounds.
