Gospel Life Center, Religious center in Feldkirchen, Germany
The Gospel Life Center is a free church in Feldkirchen bei München, housed since 1986 in the building Am Kiesgrund. The congregation belongs to the Word of Faith movement and is organised as a non-profit association. It runs the Gospel Art STUDIO, a theatre café, and the Gospel Art KOLLEG, a school for performing arts. Its services are contemporary, without traditional liturgy.
The community began in 1982 as a house group in the Autharistraße in Harlaching, founded by John and Mirjana Angelina after encountering the Word of Faith message of Kenneth Hagin and Kenneth Copeland in the USA. It moved to an office building on Rüdesheimer Straße in Munich's Westend in 1983, and in 1986 to its present building Am Kiesgrund in Feldkirchen. In 1996 the name changed from Wort des Glaubens, Christliches Zentrum to Gospel Life Center.
The name change from Wort des Glaubens to Gospel Life Center in 1996 was meant to give the congregation a modern image while keeping the same message. The associated Gospel Art STUDIO runs a theatre café, and the Gospel Art KOLLEG is a school for performing arts; Mirjana Angelina, co-founder, leads the studio and writes plays.
The location sits on the eastern edge of the Munich metropolitan area and is accessible by public transportation. Visitors should check in advance what activities are scheduled, as the facility serves different purposes on different days.
The congregation's television work, Gospel Life TV, began in 2006, the same year the mission arm IHP was renamed International Harvest Plan. Its media company, gospel life medien GmbH, had been founded back in 1991.
