Gras-Ellenbach, Mountain resort village in Bergstraße district, Germany
Located at 398 meters elevation, Gras-Ellenbach sits at the confluence of Ulfenbach and Gaßbach rivers in the Odenwald mountain range.
The first documented mention of Gras-Ellenbach dates to 1359 when Count Palatine Ruprecht I approved its sale from Hartmud von Cronberg to Rudolf von Beckingen.
The village transformed during the Reformation period, becoming predominantly Protestant and functioning as a subsidiary parish to Waldmichelbach and later to Hammelbach.
Gras-Ellenbach operates as a certified Kneipp health resort, offering specialized wellness treatments and natural therapeutic options to visitors throughout the year.
The Siegfried Spring, situated along an ancient postal route on the northern slope of the 547-meter Spessartskopf, gives the village regional recognition.
