Gut Gerdshagen

Gut Gerdshagen is a manor house surrounded by a protective moat, with a stable building dating from 1895 and six hectares of landscaped parkland featuring mature trees. The main house has been converted into residential apartments while maintaining its historical character within the grounds.

First documented in 1224, the estate originated as a forest clearing settlement founded by Westphalian farmers with Bishop Brunward's confirmation to Amelungsborn Monastery. The property evolved over centuries as a manor farm and maintained its core structures through to the present day.

The estate serves as an external registry office where couples can hold their wedding ceremonies and celebrations in the historical buildings. Local visitors use the park grounds and manor rooms for their special events throughout the year.

The manor house offers overnight stays in individual apartments, with additional lodging options available in Satow three kilometers away. The grounds are generally accessible to visitors, especially during events and celebrations held at the property.

The moat encircling the main house allows visitors to fish or take boat rides, a recreational feature that sets this property apart from typical estates. This water feature originally served as a defensive barrier and now offers guests a peaceful water-based experience.
