St Hedwig's Church, Catholic parish church in Jüterbog, Germany
St Hedwig's Church is a Catholic parish church in Jüterbog with a single-nave hall design, exposed roof trusses, and cross-ribbed vaulting in the southern choir section. The building connects to the Tetzel Chapel and stands behind the parish house at Große Straße 86.
Construction of the church began in 1893 following population growth triggered by the relocation of an artillery school from Berlin to Jüterbog. The building received its status as an independent parish church in 1962.
The church features three choir windows created by Egbert Lammers in 1940, depicting Saints Joseph, Hedwig, and Barbara in stained glass. These windows bring color and light to the interior space and create a reflective mood for visitors entering the prayer hall.
The church sits behind the parish house on Große Straße 86 and is easily accessible from the street. The building shares its location with the neighboring Tetzel Chapel, forming a connected religious complex.
An Ernst Röver organ from the late 19th century with seven registers on one manual stands out with its neo-Gothic design. This instrument is a rare example of quality organ craftsmanship from that era and contributes to the acoustic richness of the prayer space.
