Süllberg

Süllberg is a hill in the Hanover region that rises approximately 198 meters above sea level. Wooded slopes define its shape, and several walking paths run through and around the elevation.

During World War II, the hill was used as a site for anti-aircraft defense. Concrete remains and bomb craters on the western slopes still serve as reminders of that era.

The hill serves as a gathering place where visitors and locals enjoy outdoor activities throughout the seasons. The worn paths and open areas show how the community values this natural space for recreation and time together.

The clearest views are easiest to reach at the forest edge where sightlines open up across the landscape. The paths are manageable on foot and suited for walking during any season.

In the northern section sits a former Cold War bunker now used as a secure storage facility for documents by private organizations. This hidden structure reveals how the site's history continues beneath the surface.
