St.-Jakobus-Münster

The St.-Jakobus-Münster features a 68-meter-high tower made of red sandstone and contains stained-glass windows designed in late Gothic style from 1904.

Three earlier churches existed on this site since 1275, with construction of the current building starting in 1897 and consecration occurring in 1907.

The church interior houses three carved altars from different periods between 1903 and 1911, displaying the craftsmanship of early 20th-century religious art.

The church remains open to visitors throughout the year, offering guided tours that explain its architectural features and historical development.

Construction workers continued building through nighttime hours to complete the roof framework by 1900, using 300,000 Mark in total expenses.
