MAD was a large nightclub in Eisenach that featured four separate dance areas with different music styles for various tastes. The venue was equipped with modern facilities and drew visitors from throughout the surrounding region.
The nightclub opened in 1995 and relocated to a new location at Eisenach-Arena in 2005. It grew to become the largest venue of its kind in Thuringia and shaped the local nightlife scene for many years.
The venue received the German Disco Award for Best Large-Scale Nightclub in 2006, marking its status in German nightlife entertainment.
The location was well equipped with modern facilities and situated near cycling and walking paths. Visitors could move between the different areas depending on their music preferences.
The building was destroyed by fire in 2024 and subsequently demolished. The site now serves as a reminder of how significant this venue was to the city's nightlife.
