Mainpark, Residential complex in Mathildenviertel, Offenbach am Main, Germany
Mainpark is a residential complex comprising five 14-story terraced blocks containing around 570 apartments oriented toward the Main River. The buildings offer ten different floor plan types and are located near the University of Art and Design.
The site once housed the J. Mayer & Sons tannery and leather factory, designed by Hugo Eberhardt in the early 20th century. It was later transformed into a residential project that has defined the area's character since then.
The residential complex gained attention through a two-part documentary titled 'Leben - Liebe - Sünde' that explores daily life in the high-rise settlement. The series focuses on residents' everyday experiences and personal stories within this community.
The complex is easily accessible by public transport and located near cafes, restaurants, and local shops. Visitors should remember this is an inhabited residential area, so respectful behavior is important when exploring the grounds.
The complex is home to German musicians and rappers like Haftbefehl and Capo, who spent their formative years here. Their music and stories give this place an important role in the German hip-hop scene.
