Mühlenberg-Kaserne, Military barracks in Sögel, Germany
The Mühlenberg-Kaserne was a military installation that spread across a large area in northern Sögel and contained several buildings for military operations and personnel housing. The site included facilities for training, equipment maintenance, and administrative functions.
The installation became operational from 1963 onward as the headquarters for the 552nd US Army Artillery Group and also housed the Air Force Fuel Depot 61. It remained active until December 1996.
The facility enabled connections between local communities and international personnel through shared military training events and social gatherings held throughout the year.
