The Museum for Prehistory and Early History is an archaeological museum in Saarbrücken displaying objects from the Stone Age through the early Middle Ages. The exhibition spreads across multiple rooms and presents discoveries that document the region's history over thousands of years.

The museum was founded in 1959 and houses the burial site of a Celtic princess from Reinheim with precious jewelry and objects from the 5th century BC. This collection shows how important the region was as a center of Celtic culture in Europe.

The collection shows Roman finds like pottery, tools, coins, and stone sculptures that give a sense of daily life in the region. Visitors can also see wall paintings from a villa near Mechern, reflecting the wealth of people who lived there.

The museum is located in the city center and is open most days of the week, with extended hours on certain weekdays. It is easy to reach by public transportation and offers plenty of space to explore the different exhibition areas.

The museum preserves impressive golden arm and neck rings featuring human faces and lion heads, showing the high skill of Celtic craftspeople. These valuable objects were discovered together with other treasures in the female burial and are rarely seen elsewhere.
