Ottoturm

The Ottoturm is a steel observation tower standing 18.59 meters tall in Kirchen, offering an elevated vantage point over the surrounding landscape. From the platform, visitors can see across the rolling hills and forests of the Siegerland region in multiple directions.

An earlier tower from the early 1900s once stood at this location, named after a local industrialist. The current steel structure replaced that original building, which had sustained too much damage to repair.

The tower serves as a meeting point for hikers and cyclists exploring the local trails and hills. It brings together people who want to combine outdoor activity with a chance to survey the landscape they have traveled through.

Reaching the observation platform requires climbing 104 steps to the top of the tower. There is no elevator or wheelchair-accessible route to the upper level.

The location sits where several mountain biking routes intersect and run past the tower. These connecting trails allow riders to string together longer adventures through the hills.
