Füsseberg-Friedrich Wilhelm mine

The Füsseberg-Friedrich Wilhelm mine is a former iron ore site in Siegerland with a network of underground tunnels and shafts that extend deep into the bedrock. The surface area includes entrances, old extraction zones, buildings, and machinery from different periods of operation.

Iron extraction at this location started in the early 1700s and grew into an important local industry across two centuries. The operation experienced major growth and mechanization from the mid-1800s onward as larger companies took control.
