The Roggenmarkt extends as a curved street from St. Lambert's Church, connecting seamlessly with the Old Fish Market in downtown Münster.
Established in the 10th century, the Roggenmarkt served as a grain trading post along major routes connecting Holland with Rhineland, Friesland, and Bremen.
The street front displays uniform gabled buildings constructed with Baumberger sandstone, each featuring distinct architectural designs reflecting local craftsmanship.
Modern retail establishments, including Tommy Hilfiger and White Stuff, line both sides of the street, with parking facilities available nearby.
Two decorative archways mark the entrance and exit of this marketplace, which underwent precise reconstruction between 1947 and 1958 following wartime damage.
