Schloss Fischbach, Eisenach

Schloss Fischbach is a castle in Eisenach with a distinctive two-part structure: the ground floor is built of stone, while the upper floors feature timber framing. A Renaissance staircase tower adds a notable accent to the overall design.

The castle was founded around 1256 and underwent extensive renovations between 1614 and 1624 under master architect Hans Weber for Duchess Christine. These modifications fundamentally changed its appearance and left lasting marks on the structure.
