Heltorf Castle, Noble residence in Angermund, Germany.
Heltorf Castle features a baroque outer bailey with rectangular towers, a neoclassical manor house, and an English landscape garden beside the Rhine.
The castle, first documented as Hof Helethorpe in the 11th century records of Kaiserswerth Abbey, became property of the Counts of Spee in 1662.
The Garden Hall displays an extensive Barbarossa cycle of murals created between 1826 and 1841 by prominent Düsseldorf school painters.
The castle grounds at Heltorfer Schlossallee 100 include a neo-romanesque chapel from 1854 and a neo-gothic library constructed in 1862.
While the manor house remains private, the surrounding park contains a substantial collection of rhododendron plants accessible to visitors.
