Weingut Gerhard Aldinger, Family winery in Fellbach, Germany
Weingut Gerhard Aldinger is a family-run winery in Fellbach east of Stuttgart spread across roughly 27 hectares of vineyard land. Both white and red grapes grow here in roughly equal amounts, with Riesling being the primary variety.
Bentz der Aldinger founded this wine estate in 1492, making it one of the oldest wine operations in the Fellbach region. The family has maintained this winemaking tradition through roughly 15 generations since then.
The family maintains traditional winemaking methods with natural fermentation for white wines in cool conditions. Visitors can observe this hands-on approach during tastings here.
Visits to the winery can be arranged by contacting them in advance to see the operations firsthand. The property is most easily reached by car or on foot from Fellbach's town center.
In 1973 the family acquired the Untertürkheimer Gips vineyard, which became known for mineral-rich wines and set new quality benchmarks in Württemberg. This addition shaped the winery's character in lasting ways.
