Burg Neuentierberg

Burg Neuentierberg is a castle ruin in Meßstetten situated on elevated terrain. Stone walls, foundations, and structural remnants from the medieval period remain visible at the site, showing the original fortress layout.

The fortress was built between the 11th and 13th centuries and served as a stronghold for a local noble family. The site was eventually abandoned, resulting in the ruins visible today.

The ruins display defensive features typical of fortifications in this region during the medieval period. Visitors can observe how the layout was designed to protect and control the surrounding lands.

The site is accessible via marked hiking trails that wind through forested and hilly terrain. Sturdy footwear is recommended as the ground is uneven and trails can be muddy after rain.
