Alabama-Halle, Former military depot in Am Hart, Munich, Germany.

Alabama-Halle was a large three-section storage building located between Schleißheimer Straße and Knorrstraße in Munich near the Eisenbahn-Nordring railway line. The structure could accommodate around 1000 visitors and served as an event venue.

The building was constructed in 1935 as Wehrmacht storage and received its name when the US Army took over after World War II and used it as a depot. Its conversion to a concert venue in the 1980s marked a dramatic shift in purpose.

The site served as a gathering place for music enthusiasts during the 1980s, where audiences from across the region could experience international acts in person. It attracted younger crowds seeking new musical styles and artistic exploration.

The location was reasonably accessible by public transport since it lay near the S-Bahn railway. Visitors should have expected parking and travel arrangements to be challenging due to the venue's growing popularity.

Bayerisches Fernsehen produced a weekly television show called Live aus dem Alabama that broadcast concerts and discussions for young audiences. This television program brought the venue recognition far beyond Munich and captured the music scene of that era.
