Arthur, Steel roller coaster in Europa-Park, Rust, Germany
Arthur is a steel coaster featuring approximately 550 meters of track that connects indoor and outdoor sections. Passengers sit in suspended vehicles that travel through elaborately themed environments with multiple scenes and special effects throughout the ride.
The coaster opened in July 2014 and was the first inverted model built by manufacturer Mack Rides. It came about following a significant investment in a new major attraction for the park.
The coaster draws from Luc Besson's Arthur film series, presenting scenes and designs from the Minimoys world. As you ride, you encounter environments and props that bring this fictional universe to life.
Visitors must be at least 100 centimeters tall to ride this coaster. The ride has good capacity, so wait times are usually manageable.
The vehicles hang suspended below the track, giving riders the sensation of flying through the Minimoys world. This upside-down perspective changes the entire experience compared to standard coasters.
